Default Should I Save it or Sell it? My 88 Rex

Hey guys- whats up

I bought an 88 Honda CRX DX for like 450 from a guy in downtown chicago in the winter...and I love it as a driver- the main reason i got it was for a driver...but I knew that part of me just had to fix it up- Now that the time has come... I don't know whether I should save it or not...The rust is pretty bad all over the car- I need your help on decding on whether i should fix it or not

Both Rear Quarter Panels- All the way through from the bottom up- Lost original shape- Will need replacing-- On the driver side, rust is in the gas filler compartment

Rocker Panels Both sides- run along the door- rusted away- can't step on 'em or rust may fall!

Driver Door- Rust hole Bottom corner- [most likely fixable w/ a fiberglass patch]

Frame Rust- rust starting on rails

Small spots on the rest of the car fixable w/ patches or filler

Basically, If you've fixed it before- could you tell me how it went and how difficult it was and how to do it pretty much- Money is a large factor considering i spent 450 on the car- Umm..prolly a $500 spending limit?

I want it to look like a CRX should...but im also worried about the actual structural strength of it

The car only has 105k miles and runs like a dream...I could drive it into the ground if i wanted to- Is there hope for it?

Thanks a lot

I'd say keep it.

Don't replacing panels usually run pretty high in the dollar department?

IMO, that car is shot. It'll probably cost you more to fix the car than picking up a better conditioned CRX would, unless you do all the work yourself. Maybe you should spend the 500 bucks on a CRX shell and transplant the motor over?
