Hello all, I have an '89 Accord lx automatic in need of an engine. Now this car is not going to be my main car, Kinda like a project. What I was wondering was what choice of engines do I have to drop in there and how much modding might be needed. I did a search but did not come up with much.

Was thinking mabey going with an lxi engine of the same year or if poissible a VTech of a later year. Any one seen or done one of these mods? If so any advice would help.

H22 in the accord is really the only way to go... but i don;t know if that will drop into an 89 that easy.... pretty much any other engine doesn't have enough torque.. that your heavy *** car will desperately need...

Oh yeah and i'm selling an H22... your in luck... with many performance parts like crower stage 3 cams... a built head with crower springs retainers and o-sized valves (1mm) and about 1000 dollars in head work ontop of that
