F20B/C and Accord SiR-T questions
I'm getting hooked up with a F20C LongBlock this week and I was wondering what can be interchanged between the F20B and C engines...
Anyone have info on this? Or a site I could read up on F20 specs?

I thought F20A and F20B were accord engines and the F20C was the stook engine?
Katman - what is your source for the H/F compatibility information? I have heard this from several people, but noone seems to be able to confirm it. Specifically, I'd love to know if the possibility exists of using the F20a/b crank to destroke the H22. And is the F22 95mm stroke crank the same as the 95mm stroke crank found in the H23? How about heads? Would an H22 VTEC head bolt on to a F series block? I assume motor mounts are comparable, since we see H22 Accord swaps fairly frequently.
Basically, I'm toying with the idea of an H22 - destroked to 85mm, resleeved & bored to 90mm. Slightly more displacement than stock, and a 1.749 r/s ratio. Trying to figure out what the most economical way of doing it would be.

I remember seeing a video from Japan where Spoon -I think- wedged an F20 into the Civic-R. What tranny could they have been using?
I the powerband on the F20C and it would be great to have it in a hatch, but if it's not doable (relatively easily) then I'll just piece together the rest of the parts needed to sell it.
Also, does anyone have a link to that video?

It would have had to have been the F20c 6-speed transmission - it rotates opposite from all the older engines.
I'm surprised it fit at all in a FWD application - the F20c wasn't really designed with a transverse mounting in mind. I would have thought it'd be pretty long. But then, a short engine would help weight distribution in the S2000, so I suppose it makes sense.

--> well i'm not super famlier with all of the Accord/F-series engines, but whichever one is the SiR/DOHC VTEC engine, it's like i said, an H22 engine restamped with F20x and is 2.0L. The head and the heads internals are the same as an H22 -- same mechanical parts. Same goes for the block too, except the block internals being 2.0L (not sure of the piston dome/compression ratio)
That's correct. There's nothing compatible between the F20c & the other F series engines. If anything, there might be some shared parts in the K series, as they're more closely related to the S2000 engine.

-->well I've never really messed with an Accord SiR or even H-series engines at all. I do have a friend who has an SiR-T/H23A engine dropped into his 94 accord wagon. Rare motor H23block w/H22 head from the factory.

So it looks like I'll want to find a K20A and see if the tranny has any chance of mounting to the block I have. I'm highly doubtful, but I know it's been done... ah the search is on.
I was hoping I could use the F20B crank and tranny, the F20C block and head, and some of the intake/exhaust parts from the Accord SiR-T. blah, oh well...

Please note that there are different HP versions of the F20B out there. The AT version only does 180 HP and the MT version does 200 HP. My AT figure may be off by 5 HP but I do know there is a difference. I have a page bookmarked @ home. I will see if I can find it and post it. It has all the F20B info on it....I have saw several of these engines in person. They look like an H22 that has a Blue valve cover. Neat little de-stroked h22....

I finally picked up the block/head last night. Damn, everything is in great shape except for the #2 piston top and one of the intake valves(overrev == bad). Chain drive, yum.
Anyone have a good source for stock s2k drivetrain/valvetrain parts?
I'll take pictures if you guys want to see. Damn this thing is clean. If I don't end up selling it, I'll just tear it down and learn about this neat little motor.
