Camber Kit..car walks like crazy and stering is loose..is this normal??
Hey guys. I put a Specialty Products camber kit on last night and my car is walking like crazy and the stering feels real loose. I have not had it aligned yet, but was wondering if it is because the kit I bought put too much correction in it (positive camber). I have it set to the lowest correction, 1.75 degrees of adjustment. I didn't want to get it aligned if it was still going to steer like it does now. I'd rather go through tires a little faster then feel like the car does not steer as well as it did before. Do you think the alignment will make it drive correctly or do you recommend just taking it off and leaving some negative camber in it? My car is dropped about 2-2.5" in the front.

Get the alignment find out what your camber specs are. It's probably something other than your camber that is causing instability.
your toe is probably way out of wack..
also check the caster....
if that is off that can also cause instablilit..
I know that with my camber kits if you flip over the plate that the ball joint is on you can put a butt load of caster and that will make straight line driving really interesting

The toe is what's making it funny. Get an alignment (once again) and there's no reason it shouldn't track straight and true. Caster isn't going to affect straightline stability. More caster would make it feel a little more positive, anyways...
Well, it's been said... but when you put on a camber kit in the rear, you usually introduce some toe-out. This makes the car feel exactly like you're describing. If you don't get an alignment quick... and I mean real quick, your tires will be gone within 2000 miles.
Thanks for the advice guys. I got off my cheep *** and already took it to the alignment shop bright and early this morning before I checked the posts. Hopefully it will be all good then.
