I was just crusing today and all of a sudden my rpms dropped, and my oil light turns on,(not my dash lights, like wen a car dies) but just my oil light. And my car dies. I have a couples friends help push it outta traffic and we tried to start it. It cranks but never turns over.

So we turned it to the on position and listened for the fuel pump to prime and it didnt. I havent tried taking the hose at the fuel rail off to see if its getting fuel or not yet cus it was getting late. Im thinkin it could be my main relay, bad fuel pump, ignition switch etc.

the motor is a 97 h22a4, and if it is the fuel pump then it looks like im gonna upgrade the fuel pump. Wat do u guys recommend? so far all it has is i/h/e. thanks in advance

also, leading up to this, ive noticed that my car would have hard starts every now and then. and also it would sometimes hesitate under acceleration.

did you check the oil after the light came on?

yea, it was low but pass the 1st dot. this is after it was running for awhile though. ive been having a leaky headgaskets for awhile now, thats y its a little low on oil.

 

i took off the fuel line at the fuel rail today, turned it to the on position and no fuel came out. also tried cranking on it, and of course no fuel. does this mean i have a bad fuel pump?

 

looks like ive found the problem...



that 20a fuse keeps blowing out when i turn the key to the ON position. wtf?!?!?! can u guys tell me wat kind of fuse that is? i dont have the fuse panel cover... thanks in advance
