Default 5-7 angle valve jobs

how much should I expect to pay for one on a f22? Are there any real power advantages once modding starts to the vtec head? If I wanted to do serious valve work, should I stick with my current non-vtec head and change the cam or swap to a vtec head? Im new to this whole computer controlled motor stuff....

Whats a computer have to do with it? Head work is head work and any car will more than likely benefit from a good flowing head. I don't see how a 5 angle valve job will really benefit you but thats my opinion.

HAHA! Its usually more of a radius blend than an angle job anyways. It seems as though only honda owners go so far with thier heads to extract maximum horse power on a street driven car.

When you do a radius or angle job what it does is make the seat area smaller so there is less parasitic drag as well as increased flow. Of course with a smaller seat you will have less longevity. Which doesn't seem to bother a lot of people. Anything more than a 3 angle shouldn't be an angle anyways it should be a radius. I'm personally not the person to sacrifice longevity for a couple tenths on a street car so I'm not the person to ask. And if this is a race car then the builder of said engine should be experienced enough to know what to do to make that engine perform best.

The computer controlled motor thing was a joke, sorry...

I am 16, and this is the first motor I will have built, and my friend is having me build it for him. I work for an engine builder off and on, and I can assemble a motor, I just don't know how much the machining costs. I heard a 7 angle has better valve life than a radius blend.
