Default Wheel Dilemma

I was thinking about geting 17" adr dv8's. Right now i have 14" steelies...how much would the weight difference be and how would it affect the car. First off, anyone know how much these weight? I almost bought them but saw how they were referred to as "tuner" rims as opposed to lightweight "racing" rims. can someone please explain the difference? The other problem was tires...im planning on going with a 17" rim and want a tire that i can beat up a little without too much flex in the corners or too much wear overall. Anyone suggest a size or brand and tell me the differences? I appreciate any and all information i can gather about this topic. Thanks...

well heres the thign... depends on what you want.. if you want a nice crusing rim they are perfect, my grilfriend has the black ones on her lancer (adr dv8) they are pretty light.. alot lighter than my 17inch tenzos but if you want the "racing" effect go for some 15's i just sold my tenzos and got the 5zigen fn01c-r's (13lbs) opposed to almost 18 lbs which are the rims but they are sweet rims if you wana just cruse and look good.. if you want the 17inch effect they are pretty light compared to many kinds of 17's (but not volks, advans, etc) but i know $$ is an issue hope that helped...

FN01C-Rs are freaking ****. 17s are too big for a honda in my eyes. I think they weigh too much, and they don't give you much more than a 16" wheel does. Unless you are working on a show car I would stay on the 15" or 16". I know quite a bit of people who are running the Azenis tires from Falken, which make a good tire for cornering, but due to a stiff sidewall they aren't ideal for drag racing. Hope some of this is useful.
