Skunk 2 or rev hard IM on LS/Vtec??
Hi, I'm thinking about doing a LS/vtec setup on my LS turbo and I want to upgrade my intake manifold to either a skunk 2 or rev hard. The vtec manifold and head will be from a type r and I do not want to rev my motor more than 8500 rpm.
I have heard that the rev hard IM is similar to the JG victor X and that it starts to make power from 7K rpm and up. The fact that I don't want to rev it pass 8500 rpm makes me wonder if this IM will help benifit my setup. Let me know what HT members think...
Also, my second concern is the charge pipe. I currently have a LS rev hard piping and I am wonder if the charge pipe will fit perfectly (without modification) with the b18c5 head? I know the runners on the rev hard im are shorter than the skunk2 so will I need to change my charge pipe for either of the intake manifold?
