jdm ebgine harness on u.s.d.m. prelude car
i got a 92 prelude and got a 94 jdm prelude drop out. wiring harness was too short because jdm ecu is on the left and us is on right. it was about 6 inches short. so i legthend the wires and the harness doesn't work. the car throws all sorts of codes. with the h23 it runs fine but it has a external coil pack that we are trying to get rid of.
I'm pretty sure you can use the stock harness from your h23. You just have to wire the few vtec sensors in.

Did you match up all the plugs to ensure compatibility...
I swapped in a JDM F20A and I used the JDM harness, for my own reasons... the only trouble I ran into was that on one harness connector some of the plugs/wires were in different spots... Which was not a big deal since I had to use the USDM connector and splice some wires anyways...it was just a matter of putting the right wire in the right place...
I tried to start it before I did that and tripped multiple CELs... well, that and a bum ECU were the cause but I'm sure the differences exaggerated the problems... It was perfectly fine after I switched the wires though... Zero CELs...
I'd try taking a look at every single wire and plug and make sure that they are all going to the proper places...
That is the main drawback to using the JDM harness...

are you sure, all the plugs are thier the main four plugs that are on the fire wall. i had to extend the harness but it threw all sorts of codes. i was told i used the wrong wire like the ground shielded wire that are on some of the sensors. i did't use the right wire i used regular wire. just trying to find out if the ground shield wire will take care of this....
