Im not sure how they compare. However, there was a post made a month ago or so about the flow ratings of each hi-flow cat and Carsound was #2. The only thing that beat it was of course a straight pipe, which isn't a cat. So, Carsound is the top of the line

All of Dave's cats are Car Sound. He just meant that you'd need his 17" OBDI version. Car Sound's start out as bare cats, and Dave welds the proper flanges and makes them the proper length for each application. I'd definitely recommend ordering from SMSP.

obd1 just represents the amount of bungs in the cat. OBD1 has one pre cat sensor bung

OBD2 has two, one pre cat and one after cat.

Any obd1 cat will work, but what is really important is the diameter. I'd hate to see you buy a 2" oBD1 compliant cat that is 1/2" shy in the overall diameter. Ask dave what i.d.(inner diameter) cat he recomends (you'll probably needa 2.25 inner diameter cat witha 2.5" outer diameter). then call up carsound direct tell them you need a xx" i.d. cat and tell them it is for an obd1 application on an integra.

Also ask dave if he needs the flanges welded on or if he is going to do it for you. This is very important because if he doesn't do the weld job for the flanges you will need carsound to do the work for you and if they have to put the flanges on it will raise the price of your cat.

hope that helps
