USDM and JDM 4th gears are different?

yes the USDM is shorter.

JDM R 4th = USDM GSR 4th

same goes with 5th.

Yes, the tranny stamped with N3N has a longer fourth gear than the USDM ITR tranny.....Does any body know what parts I need to swap it out......I'm thinking just the fourth main and counter gears, but I might be wrong....Anybody who has done this, please advise...thanks Tim

I believe main and counter is all you need.

Depends which year-spec.

'96-Spec JDM ITR 4th, 5th & FD = USDM
'98-Spec JDM ITR 4th, 5th & FD not= USDM
