question?????

if there are any different from 1996 to 1998 the typeR jdm eng and tran from japan because i know that the jdm front is different from the usd and 1996 suspenion is 4 lock and 1998 is 5 lock

not sure on the engine internals, but the header/manifold s different, 4th and 5th gear are different and the final drive is different. (96 has the same gear ratios and FD as the USDM ITR tranny, the 98 has USDM ITR 1st, 2nd and 3rd USDM GSR 4th and 5th and the 4.785 (or whatever) FD.)
