Brakes/Rotors Custom Kits PLEASE HELP
I know rotors/calipers are usually interchangable between different models of the same make, and it's time for new rotors. Anyone know what bigger/better rotors/calipers will fit a Lude? TL/CL/Accord???? I would prefer to keep my stock rims. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!! I dont want to shell out the cash for a brake kit that comes with calipers, they're way overpriced, the AEM kit isn't bad but, it requires new rims.
I would prefer to get the biggest blank I can fit in the stock rim, but no one seems to have done anything like that. Maybe the Lude comes with the biggest rotor that can fit in it's rim. Budget is under a grand for all four corners, and I would like to get bigger/stronger calipers for the front too, which is why i'm looking for lower cost alternatives to the "big brake" thing
i have a non SH 97 Prelude. I'm currently running Kuhmo Tires that I'm more than happy with. For brake fluid I'm thiking about Motul synthetic, brake lines I DON'T KNOW THERE"S MILLIONS TO CHOSE FROM! Blank brembos in the rear and slotted in the front. But I wonder if I could fit the CL's rotors and caliper in my rim or any other bigger rotor caliper set. Anyone know, what else fit's in the non sh prelude (1997)?
Dont get slotted rotors. They are worthless. Unless your car is a track ***** and you get the sloted rotors that cost $$$$ then you are hurting your braking more than helping.
I dont know why people think slotted rotors help. Back in the old days they were used to vent the gasses from the brake pads, but todays brake pads dont produce those gases.
