Top speed governor
i understand that in sr20det motors they have a speed governor that lowers the rpm at around 115mph and owners say they need to buy a product from hks to get rid off the speed cut off. i wonder in dc2's, do we have to buy something to replace the speed governor or can we just cut a wire?

I have taken my 92 integra right up to 130 on the highway with plenty of juice left. I don't know what you people are talking about. Perhaps it is a 3rd gen addition?
Additionally, I didn't feel that it was dangerous. The car was very stable and has excelent braking and manuvering ability. Think of this... you see a 10,000 lb 18 wheeler going 80 mph on the highway... This is probably just about as dangerous as an SUV going 95 mph and as dangerous as an integra traveling 110 mph.

No speed limiter at all. You must be hitting the point where your power can't take you any faster.

what about the roads there racer. ever think about what can happen when hitting a pot-hole at 130mph. what are your tire's speed rating? what would happen if you were to blow a tire? yeah, sounds real safe...
I have never seen a pothole on the highway (have been driving 6 years)... so I don't really know. I think I would probably dodge it though. It just doesn't feel all that fast. I think once you have flown aircraft you start thinking differently about speeds. Everything feels slow.

Yes, stock GSR and RS/LS/GS are DRAG limited -- not sure about the ITR because of it's shorter gearing. No speed limiter in my non-stock GSR, and it's seen the far side of 150...
