Default Mounts issues! Just finished b16a OBD1 & cable YS1 into 90 crx dx.

Everyone's asleep in the Hybrid forum..

Hey all. One more member in your club! This thing puls SO hard!!! Runs perfect! wiring was a nightmare!

I have an issue though. I used HCP EF-18X mounts in this swap. It positioned the motor perfectly, but during first gear launch of even medium strength, the engine, or bracket, touches the rear crossmember (i think). Anyone had a problem with this? Any way to solve it besides getting different mounts?

Please help..thanks

do you have a rear mount on at all? maybe you dont have enough clearance on the crossmember i know when i put my rear mount in i had to pound down 1/2 or 34" of the lip on the rear crossmember,

According to the HCP instructions you need to bend down a portion of that lip. I bent it down on both my crx and my hatch and I've had no problems at all.

Yep, I pounded the lip away good. Actually a bit more than the width of the bracket. I can't find the exact spot where it touches. It's kinda tight in there

Hmmmm, sounds weird. Were the mounts new?

Yep, brand spanking new. Everything went in very smoothly. Everything is torqued down. I will investigate tonight. Going back to friend's garage to pick my **** up.
