I would assume they'd be faster than an LS or GS, but not as fast as a GS-R; due to the weight factor. Same engine as an LS/GS, but with less weight.

 

i dont think so. rs is the base modle, so its lighter than others...
but basically rs ls gs se should be around same

 

a rs has the same engine as a ls and gs
it just doesent have luxurie options like sunroof, power locks, and things like that
this means that it is also the lightest integra
so a rs should be faster than a ls, se, gs but off course not as fast as a gsr or itr

i dont think so.. correct me if im wrong but i kno rs is the lightest gen3 tegs... but anyways it all depends on how u drive too so dont think its the slowest...

 

The RS model is actually the lightest compared to all the other models. It still runs on the same b18b1 motor that produces 140 HP. It doesn't come with much luxuries items such as, power windows or the moonroof. You can basically compare it to a Type R shell.

 

Depending on the year, an RS may have 142hp.

factory spec weight according to Edmunds.com:

1994 acura integra RS- 2,529 lbs

1994 acura integra GS-R- 2,667 lbs

1997 acura integra Type-R- 2,643 lbs

the 94 integra rs,ls,gs,special edition all had the b18b making 142hp.
the 94 gsr made 170hp
the 97 ITR made 195hp

the 98-01 models of the integras weigh a bit more than the ones listed above due to an extra three piece black brace behind the front seats before the fuel pump, sorry don't know what's it's called, just that a 99 gsr I was taking apart had it, and my 94 teg did not, and it had some substantial weight to it.

So no, the RS would not be the slowest of tegs; that nearly 130lbs of weight loss makes a difference, but unfortunately the RS/LS/GS tranny sucks when compared to the gsr and itr trannys and holds it back significantly.

My RS doesn't have ABS, power door locks, cruise control,moonroof, and I also seem to be missing that tar sound deadening stuff. But it has A/C and power windows.......though the A/C isn't working

and I agree with b2finity.....I picked it cause it will give me the best results for all I plan to do with it
