Wanted to see if anyone has played with this idea or if I'm wasting everyones time.

Thinking about doing washers or plates on the hood at the hinge points.
Purpose- to act as a rear vent for engine bay heat. If i open the rear along the rear of the hood and allow heat to escape from the top rather that collecting at the fire wall. Raising it about 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch. Summer use only, gets alittle hot around here. Let me know the pro or cons. Also, is this an approved mod. Running stx here local. Thanks

If you are having some sort of cooling problem then this will not solve it.

 

Not really a problem. Just put a header on and the engine bay is defiantly warmer than normal. Just wanted to see if anyone has had a vibration problem, etc.
