Default Help...CD Player Installation caused dash blackout

well the previous owner of my 93 lude wired up the cd player like crap so i decided to clean it up and use connectors rather than elec. tape. all the wires from the back of the stereo, but there was one wire left on the harness, an orange one. i know that it is the dimmer wire. where does this dimmer wire need to be connected. i tried the red and the yellow wire but its a constant on even when the headlights are off. how should it be wired....i cant see how fast im going when its dark.

tail lights arent out but the rear side marker is out. that dimmer wire has to be connected somewhere cause the dash dont work unless i put it to the red or yellow wire...but that cant be where it needs to be connected because if i connect it there then it comes on when i turn the car on rather than when i turn the headlights on. I may be wrong tho.

aight guys...this is for future reference....when installing a radio on your 4th gen....do not leave the orange wire on the harness open. tape it up. or it will blow a fuse. if it occurs the fuse is a 20 amp and its located in the fusebox in the engine bay. its is labeled as "small light" on the fusebox cover.
