Default What transmission is this?

I did a quick search, but I did not find anything.

I have an '88-'91 transmission, supposedly from a '91 CRX Si. The part number is L3-2212492

There is no stamp on the bellhousing. Does anyone know what this transmission is from? DX, Si, HF??????

I just yanked my hf motor and the tranny has the little gold stripe on it and says L3 before the list of numbers. so im pretty sure that means the tranny you have is an hf one but i may be wrong.

Thank you for your response, but all the 88-91 Civic D series transmissions were designated L3. Could you please post the rest of the number if you have it.

look for a STAMP (stamped into the tranny caseing) close to the tranny fluid fill plug, saying PL3 9000 or PL3 what ever number, then search for tranny codes, Thats what i had to do when i got my si tranny

The hard way to find out would be to install the tranny, drive in second and if you hit 80 or so by 7100rpms in second it is an HF. But I can tell you my 89si tranny says L3 and so did my 91 Si tranny, the #s stamped on the tranny that correspond to the model #. - Darrell
