Important to resurface flywheel when change clutch???
Im going to be changing my stock clutch to a eclutchmaster stage 3 and will be using the stock flywheel. But it is extremely important to resurface the flywheel or i can leave it alone and put the new clutch on. would it cause any problem?
it all depends on if theres hot spots on the flywheel and how bad they are....i would just get it resurfaced since you have the tranny off.
i dont know what condition the flywheel is in but i think it should be alright since i only have 60k on my car and the tranny was not abused...
The most I've heard for resurfacing a flywheel is $50. If you do not resurface it, you will most likely shorten the life of your new clutch, unless your current flywheel is magically perfectly flat and smooth. If you're doing the work yourself, you probably don't care as much as a person that pays from $200-$400 on labor to install another clutch.
