Raising redline for boost?
I currently drive a 96 gsr, but in order to boost i'm buying a spare block and head to have built on the side so I can continue driving my car.
I will be buying a gsr head, it will either be completely bare, or all the valves will be bent, so i'm gonna upgrade everything.
I'm not looking to raise the redline too much as it wouldn't really help in a boosted setup, so maybe somewhere around 8500-8750. What components should I go with in order to raise it just a little bit, also what kind of headwork do you recommend since the head is being completely rebuilt?
I'm thinking I could just use a complete itr valvetrain w/ my gsr cams, would that be enough to raise the redline to 8500?

GSR cams are really good for boost but as far as raising revs the Type Rs are better than stock but if I were you I would go aftermarket just to be on the safe side, unless the engine is built properly I would stay around 8K rpm but if you really want it to rev safeley go aftermarket, they cost more for a reason. best thing to do is talk to the cat thats building your engine.
