Default Having troubles deciding which clutch disc to use

I just did a swap to b16a2, and the clutch is almost gone. I was wondering which clutch setup should i go for. I am looking at act, and i mainly drive the car on street, but i am going to get into AUTO X, so should i go for the Heavy Duty Street Strips, or the Heavy Duty six puck? I am totally new to this, so i dont know how significant is the difference between the street strips disc and the six puck disc.
all i know is that the street strips is more recommended for street use. But should i get the six puck for better torque?

the 6-puck is going to have a more harsh engagement than the street one. The street one should be enough for a stock or lightly modified street driven B16A and IMO would be fine for AutoX.

ya, unless you're running mad power, you don't need the 6-puck. And it's annoying on the street.

I say go with the exedy organic clutch. Should hold a good amount of power ~ 180-200whp.

I've had it for about a year and a month with about 25k miles on it. Great clutch: good holding and a nice feel, not too tight, but enough to feel nice.

Don't forget about the break in period for the new clutch. No hard drops or a lot of wide open throttle for about 500 miles or you have a chance of glazing it or reducing its life.

for the act though go with street

I have the ACT HD pressure plate and the street disc and I love it. This is on a 2000 Si and it holds everything I throw at it.

i'd recommend the exedy organic for anyone driving their vehicle on the street. the pedal feel is nice, it grips well, and is great on your wallet.

Exedy organic here too! Go ahead and get the 8.5 lb flywheel too! I have had my exedy for 2 years (40K+) on the motor and now about a week and a half on 7 psi. It is blowing the wheels off all the way through 2nd.

more on the clutch break-in,

I'm also going to have a swap finished tomorrow, along with the new exedy organic clutch put in at the same time. Would it be okay to go WOT like a couple of times to test out the motor and tranny? It shouldn't hurt the clutch TOO much would it? I wont' be doing any stupid launches. I heard that you should shift below 3-4k rpm, but how would i test vtec and tranny if i need to baby the clutch?

ok, you can go into vtec and accelerate somewhat hard, just watch your shifting and don't dump the clutch or try and chirp the gears. I actually chirped it once before 500 miles...i was pissed cuz someone just broke into my car so i'll use that as an excuse, but you don't need to completely baby it, just watch your shifts and take offs, you should be fine

if your going to do any kind of racing, definitly get the street/strip disc, not the stock organic disc, and if your using it mainly for street and arent puttin out much power then dont get the 6-puck... i just ordered the xtreme pressure plate and street/strip disc(XTSS) along with the prolite flywheel, i cant wait

?...the exedy organic isn't stock. It holds more than stock without leaving you with the rough clutch engagement of a racing puck. It's not an ACT clutch. They also have the ceramic 3 puck from exedy that holds more, but i don't have any experience with that one, but i have heard good things
