Default My 94 gsr needs a face-lift, suggestions please

Heres some pics of my car that I took a while back... the pics themselves aren't that great, but anyways... My car looks pretty bad and it needs a face lift.

I've got rust starting on both rear quarter panels and the paint job is quite dull and theres some big dents along with scratches (gouges almost) on the front and rear bumper from the previous owner(s).

Now before everyone says to do what I want to do with the car... I'm just trying to gather some general opinions and maybe even some pictures.

The car is getting repainted in the spring - same color - its easiest that way.

I may just fix the dents and repaint the car as is (painting the black side skirts as well)... OR I thought about trying something different. I thought about the OEM side skirts and maybe a 97 ITR front lip... probably nothing in the back. Then maybe shaving the spoiler... and what about those S2k antennaes? (the little short black ones). Also thought about shaving the emblems. Also, should I remove those black fender guard things? I dont really see a purpose for them.

Its a 94 and from the info I've gathered the only part of the OEM body kit that will fit (without modification) is the side skirts.

What do you guys think? Anyone have pictures of something like this?

I might also sell my C8s and pick up something "flashier" in spring. Oh and its currently JRSC'd, but, I might be selling that and going Drag3.. so it'll have some nice braces up front

I couldn't afford a 96R nose, so I took this route for now:

How much $$$ are we talking for new bumper covers? Is it just the cover itself that I can replace? Or does it require changing bumper supports, etc.,?

anyone have pics with a shaved spoiler? whats the best way to fill in the holes left by the spoiler?

dude, please dont rice out that integra.

lose the mud flaps, just paint your stock side skirts red (same as type R skirts), get a front lower lip, and the wing if you really want. s2k atenna= ultra rice as it doesnt function really well as an atenna

front end 98+ requires you to get the headlights, corner lights, front bumper.

I have the headlights and corner lights mint for sale, just came off my own integra. if your interested let me know. (im me)
I'm just out for the biggest bang-for-the-buck If changing the front bumper cover requires changing all sorts of other things, thats not an option. My main goal is performance (brute speed and awesome handling), looks are not a priority... it just looks sad now.

The car is definately getting repainted, and I was really thinking about taking the spoiler off. If I repaint the car as is, the side skirts are getting painted red and I may just stop there.

I just want people to see my car and think "thats a nice clean integra". I dont want it to stick out by looking crazy or stick out by looking trashy. ya know?

I figured I could dump like 2 lbs changing the antennae too

Plus I dont have to listen to that vrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrt vrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrt everytime i change CDs too... and yeah I know I could wire up a switch to cut the power to the antennae but I have too many wires as is with the alarm, remote start, amps, components, etc, etc...

Nope, Im talking Best Bang for the Buck - AKA CHEAP CHEAP!!

I was thinking along these lines:

Option 1
------
Repaint car (including stock black side skirts) - $materials (labor myself)
maybe s2k antennae
maybe ditch mudflaps and fender guard strips
maybe shave spoiler
maybe shave emblems

Option 2
------
OEM side skirts - ~$200
Front lip - ~$150
Shave spoiler, emblems
Ditch mudflaps & fender guard strips
S2k antennae
Repaint car - $materials (labor myself)

What would you guys do? Anyone have pics of shaved spoilers? What about with oem body kits? Does it look good with front and side skirts but not rear?

Man...spending all that loot on a 98+ conversionis pointless, IMO...

OEM kit - $299, sell the front lip
98+ Rear Bumper - $100
97R lip or Comptech lip - $100-$300
SLAM IT!
CF Hood - $500

There you go...maybe you shouldn't take that route though, as you'll look too similar to me

DC24Me - What lip is that? Is that just a flat black or black 97R lip?

Opinion about the spoiler. If you are thinking about painting your car, find someone else with the same integra model as yours and then trade trunks. Get his without the spoiler, you give yours to him with the spoiler. I guess this might work. I dunno, just my opinion if it works. Also, go for the s2k antenna<------looks much better than the stock piece of crap. Loose the mud flaps for sure, get your sides skirts painted and a new lip, and you will be set. Oh yeah dont forget about suspension and make sure you use some good tire shine when you're cleaning those babies. There's my .02

Neither. It's a Honda Access lip. Sometimes people refer to it as the SiR-G lip, but I thought 93.5-95 models were SI-VTECs. Anyway, it's part number 71110-ST7-VO1. It's unpainted plastic.

heres an idea,
since your repainting the car, do what i did, go wings west, thats the cleanest kit for the 94-97 integra, believe me, to do a 98+ front end conversion youll need about 500 if not more in parts alone, add the stock kit and you got a whopping load of money...heres what i did, i peiced together used wings west type II vented kit from different people, since it has to get painted anyways, it was worth getting it used. i paid 500 for the front lip, sideskirts, rear skirts and an ITR rear spoiler. now if u ask me, thats the way to go
HTH

PS....shave everything in the back and front, trust me, it is cleeeean!!!
by everything i meam "ACURA", " ", "DOCH Vtec"... u get the idea

oh yea one more thing, if your getting the whole car painted, get rid of the side moldings, <-- my best decision yet

Bocians car does look pretty good

I am going to look into that Access lip...thats about the closest thing to a CF lip I'm going to come across...and finding a 97ITR lip is just hopeless!
