Default Good price for an exedy??

Went to multiple shops earlier today...got quoted an array of prices. THe first was 275, the next 325, and fianlly, i found one local shop for 200. It's a stage one organic clutch, brand new. It includes all teh standard clutch kit stuff, (pressure plate, alignment tool, throw-out bearing, etc.)

Sound like a good deal?

Just ordered mine at Cockpit Motorsports in North Hollywood. Just ask for Ed and say Jesse sent you. A complete Daiken/Exedy stage one clutch set for $195!

If you do not mind a glorified OEM unit yeah it is great......

The thing is, no NA Honda is really hurting for a REAL MAN's clutch....so the adequite Exedy units are great for most of us......honestly, sub 200 ft-lb cars do not need much more than a stock clutch anyway....

Basically, Exedy makes nice clutches, but the ones you guys are paying $200 for are not any real improvement over a standard ITR unit. Nothin like an HD from Hyperclutch or ACT.

yup. i don't mind it. its not like i'm a hardcore racer or anything. and i don't need my left leg muscles to get all buff w/ ACT anyway. (i like ACT too, but not for my cause)

i needed a stock replacement that was good... so that's why i got exedy. plus, i got a great deal.

if you want a decent price on exedy, go to the sponsor's marketplace. there's like three sponsors selling them all within about $10 of one another.

Sounds like you made a good choice then!

Although I would not shoehorn other clutches and claim they have heavy pedals. Clutch Specialities and ACT both offer very strong clutches that are not any significant effort over stock....
