GSR axle problems
I am building a ITS race car out of my 94 and am told that under sustained high speeds the axle boots will expand and rub against various things like the timing case cover and can fail and let contaminents into bearings and cause them to fail. Anyone have a fix for this? Also what happens to performance to the VTEC if the fuel pressure is increased slightly? Any one with performance related advice for this great car would be appreciated.
I am not sure about vtec cars but I was racing a friend with his talon and I usually spank his car and all of a sudden he was with me and I did not know why cause I was driving fine and then all of a sudden smoak shot out from all sides of his car. Turned out his n/a talon shot the dipstick out from excessive oil pressure! I think this gave him a hp boost but dunno why. the reason of his extreme oil pressure was because his breather filter hose got krimped some how dont know the effects of high oil pressure on our hondas tho?!?
hey gsr camel the reason why he was keeping up was cause you cant drive(that or janson got the turbo and didnt tell you)...just kiddin man.
i have never heard anything about the boots expanding at high speeds before so i cant tell you how to fix it. one of my boots tore the other day while i was making a turn at low speeds.
i will be getting new ones w/ lifetime warranty so that if the tear again ill get another set for free.
