Or a B16 water pump as well. Thats all you have to do to run a gs-r timing belt buddy. All though I don't know what the purpose would be to do that but to each his own.

I'm guessing that you couldn't find an LS Timing Belt made by Toda. Not sure if they make one, but if you use a B-Series Vtec water pump you will be fine. The LS water pumps have 19 teeth, so it requires a different Timing Belt than if you used a B16/18C1/5 water pump which has 22 teeth. Good luck with that, but first really make sure that Toda doesn't make an LS Timing Belt.

PS I've read numerous threads about not-so-good experiences with the Toda belt, so do some searching

i see. the only reason why i wanted to put the itr/gsr water pump is for the toda timing belt.

but u said the toda belt sucks? i gotta do some more research before i get it then. i have to change my LS timing belt/water pump anyways so i thought just get toda.

should i change the tensioner since i'm changing everything else too?

I figured that's why you were considering using the GSR/ITR water pump. The LS water pump is geared to work more in the lower RPM ranges (hence the lower red line of the LS) while the Vtec water pumps are geared to work more in the higher RPM ranges (where those motors spend more time). So basically you'll be getting slightly better cooling efficiency with the LS water pump if you retain your stock red line. Why do you really want to Toda belt?
