Oil Temperature Gauge?
I am looking to get an oil temperature gauge, but was wondering how it installs and how much a decent one would be? I don't want to be able to take the gage out of the car for when i daily drive it.
Any suggestions?

There are several options for install. You can run it off of the oil pan, tap into the block (usually into an existing port), or make your own place to tap it with a remote filter or oil cooler. I have an Autometer oil temp gauge, and I don't see any good reason to spend a lot more for a different kind.
I have an Omori, Oil temp, oil pressure, and water temp gauges all mounted in a panel offered through Omori that is Din size and fits above aftermarket radios with some slight work and custom brackets. Looks pretty good. I'll see if I can find some pics to post. I havent hooked up the sensors yet, But I am just going to run the oil pressure off of a T joint mounted on the firewall coming from the stock location, Oil temp off of a spot on the oil cooler mount.

That is nice. Do you carry their products?

That would be the one Flux
I believe the pic is from a Skyline, But it looks about the same way I have mine gauges up top radio underneath.
The standard lighting color is green, red blue and amber are available special order. I have the amber and it matches the oem gauges perfectly. Available in US or Metric measurement.

Ditto!
I'm going to be getting Oil pressure / Water Temp gauges. I'm curious to why I would need an oil temp. gauge? Does the oil ever get too hot?
