Is my ECU crap?
Ok i started the car drove for 100ft shifted to second and the car died. The check engine light flashes and clicks and so does the ECU. No codes it just flashes really fast. Is the ECU dead? Anyway I can check it ? And if its dead can i use an ECU out of an non-SI civic (mine is an 89 si)?
Thanks guys.

Some more info would help. T-Mo's stuff and does the engine start and run or run with a low rev limit? OBD 0 or 1? any engine codes?
89 Si, stock D16A6, stock ECU.
This happened 30 min ago. I started the car went to first gear and as soon as i shifted to second it died and will not start again.
The CEL is blinking rapidly and the ecu keeps flashing. No codes it just flashes without ending

cranks over and over?
check injector wiring for loose or disconected plugs or blown fuses.
the cel shouldint blink at all if it's obd0. count the blinks on the ECU and get back to us.

it does crank over but doesnt start.
checked the injectors and plugs.
because the cel is flashing rapidly and ecu is just flashing with no codes, is making me think its either a short somewhere or the ecu is dead
but how can an ecu just die while driving?

the ecu u use has to be from a civic Si or a Civic EX. the DPFI ecus will not work. i can send you a spare PM6 (ur ecu) to borrow if u pay shipping but i dont know if you wanna wait that long
