This is my 2nd CM stage3 clutch kit.......it currently has about 600+ break-in miles on it and today it suddenly started screeching during 1st gear takeoffs. This clutch was properly installed w/ resurfaced CM flywheel 1 month ago. The sound is pretty loud and it vibrates my shifter. I even called CM's and they said they never heard of this problem....it's freakin annoying!!!! Will this sound go away? The clutch is not slipping so its working properly except for the damn Screeching!!!!

I'm too lazy to check. What kind of material is the CM stage 3 clutch disc made of? Is it of a ceramic material like the ACT pucked clutches?

Those will make screeching noises upon starting. Normal stuff....annoying, but normal.

 

The CM stage3 comes with a Kevlar disk. I had this clutch before and it never made any noises but this new kit just started screeching!!!!!
