first oil change

Default first oil change

should i switch to sythetic oil or keep the honda oil in for a while

I have heard you should keep the original oil in as long as you can because honda puts some additive in the original oil in the car which helps to break the engine in. I didn't get mine changed until 3750 miles. Some I have talked to waited until right before 5k.

is it wise to stay with the original factory oil or go with redline oil? i have heard some people say that its better to change to synthetic as soon as possible, and then i have heard from others that i should stay with the factory oil. which one is true? i need some info.

could be wrong but i think the breakin oil is a BS marketing sham to get you to buy their oil. If mobile said if you change your oil to another brand your car will blow up at over 4 grand wouldent you be hesitant to change brands, and for that matter race!
