Default Break in oil? Dealer changed oil before break in

Hey guys,
New Si owner here. I purchased an '09 leftover and since the car had been sitting at the dealer for a certain amount of time they changed the oil during the PDI. The salesman said that honda uses regular petro oil now from the factory instead of break in oil? Im just getting scared after reading all of the info online about how honda advises the first oil change after 5,000mi with the break in oil. Nothing in the manual talks about break in oil. Im going to ask the service dept what the case really is.
Does anyone know what the story is? Do the dealerships have the additive or does honda only use it from the factory? I am hoping the dealer did not screw my engine.

Thanks.

It's not going to hurt it. The engines are machined well from the factory and don't take much if any break-in. The engine is going to break-in the first couple hundred miles. Was the oil they used at the dealer conventional oil? If so you're fine. I personally would wait till this oil needs to be changed and then switch over to synthetic.

usually for break-in's people use non-detergent oil. run that for maybe 1k miles then do a change with regular detergent oil.

And the reason for running non-detergent is that because ZDDP (zinc di-alkyl-dithio-phosphate), a high pressure lube, and detergents are both polor molecules and therefore compete for real estate in the engine. You need the protection of the high pressure lube but not so much the detergent during break-in so the elimination of detergent gives more of a chance for the zinc to do its stuff.
