Default Tein SS question. Need some help

I have a 98 GSR DC2. 3 months ago I installed the Tein SS's on my car. All of a sudden I hear a pretty visous squeek comming from what sounds like the top of the strut on rear of the car. It sound almost like rubber on metal.

I have done 1 NASA event on the tein's and the car is my daily driver. I have put aprox 700 miles on the struts since the install. They have adjustable dampening, when running the track i was 4 clicks down from full stiff and daily I have it on 12 clicks down. The springs are cranked up pretty high only lowering my car about one and one half inches from stock.

Someone has said that the struts are probally blown and i need them rebuilt, but the set-up is only 3 months old with 700 miles.

Anyone have any ideas?

Please help

is the nut that holds the assembly (on top of the shock/strut) together on tight. Check and make sure its not loose. Also, Tein specifies what they think is a best setting as far as ride height, did you change from what they specifify. If so, did you compress the spring more using the two nuts or just move on up or down with the threaded black stem with the single nut that holds it in place once set.

I compressed the 2 nuts to raise the vehicle. I will need to remove the strut to make sure that the top center nut is tight, when I tryed to tighten it it started to spin the whole shaft, I stopped after about an 1/8th of a turn.

have SS's too and sounds like the nut is loose

and teins can really only be adjusted only so much the valve inside ain't meant to go up and down or the dampening that much

I have mine to 4 and 2 nothing more don't want to **** them up

If the whole shaft spins you use an allen wrench and a wrench not a ratchet.
