Hi Flow Cat
I was wondering if i replace my cat with a High Flow Cat, Will i get a black stained bumper? My engine is stock B16a2, DC header, rsr exhaust...
I was thinking about pull the cat out and pipe it all the way, but i daily drive that car, so i dont want to make the bumper stained. is there any suggestion for which hi flow cat to go for that wont stain my bumper?

How far does your muffler stick out past your bumper? How strict are emissions in your state? My friend has a gutted stock cat, which is even less restrictive than a high flow one and he puffs some black smoke at WOT, but I dont think I have seen his bumper turn black. He has a Greddy Evo Exhaust.
Yes removing the cat will make a bit more black smoke. With a stock B16 though your car should not really make much black smoke, and if it does you have other problems besides your cat. Good high flow cats are Catco and Carsound (both carb legal). If you want to go the test pipe way just wash it once a week. Even if the car shoots out some black somke a VERY quick spray and wipe will take it off with no problem. Just don't let it build up and sit for too long.
i have a dumby cat on my del sol, it shoots out black smoke, but only when i really gas it. its never left any stain on my bumper, but on the del sols there is a little vinyl lip that might stop that from happening.
