A little while ago I had a problem with the car not idling properly especially in the morning and it would also jump and hesitate as I drove and the CEL would flash once in a while...I checked the codes and found it was the vtec solenoid valve...So I took the valve off to look and when I put it back on those problems were gone except for the CEL that still flashes now and then...
The R runs fine but that light bothers me...could it be that the vtec solenoid filter is obstructed?

 

Stupid question but did you reset the ECU after you reinstalled it??

I know it sounds dumb but sometimes the CEL will stay on even after the problem is fixed if you don't reset the ECU. Hence the fact that the caR drives fine but light is still on.

 

yeah sure I reset it...but the CEL still flashes now and then...though it never stays lit...my only guess was a clogged filter...
