Default CEL 21 Help? (searched)

Im getting CEL 21 on my 93 dx hatch running a b16a2.

i tried changing and cleaning the solenoid it still comes on.

the catch, when i start the car the CEL doesn't come on but after vtec engages, i get the CEL and it stays on until i turn off the car and start it up agian.

After i turn off the car and start it up agian the CEL is off.

CEL only comes on when vtec engages, not sure what the problem is, any ideas would be appreciated!

btw its on a p72 gsr ecu right now but i dont think that affects anything.

Could be a problem with the VTEC solenoid or the wires connecting the VTEC solenoid to the ECU or the ECU itself.

the vtec is engaging but i dont like the CEL turning on w hen it does.

it bothers me when its on and maybe its not cracking vtec as hard as it should?
