got the helm's manual? makes it easy.....er

brace the engine with a jack.
remove the valve cover, set it to TDC, and stick those dowel pins in the cams to lock them. remove the P/S mount, loosen the alt, remove the splash guard, loosen the side engine mount, lower the engine a bit.

remove the middle cover, the crank pulley, then you can take off the lower cover.

that crank pulley is hard, yes. if impact guns won't work, and breaker bars won't either, you're going to need help. i used the P/S belt, wrapped it around the crank for grip, used some big vise grips to hold the pulley, and a breaker bar on the bolt.

If you don't have access to an impact gun, here is one method I used on all of my cars with stick shift, which seems to work. Put the car on jack stands, then put the tranmission in gear (I used 5th gear). Have someone press on the brake pedal, while you use a breaker bar to remove the crank pulley bolt.

method 1-if you dont have impact gun, you can do it this way.

the best thing you can do like i what i did is to take it a nearby shop and tell them to pop the bolt off for 5-10 bucks or however you want to tip them. then tighten it back fairly tight and drive home.

-take off the starter and hold the flywheel in place while ur buddy pop off the crank bolt.

method 2- order this tool to pop it out w/ a breaker bar.

and no, you dont need to take off ur engine. you might have a lil trouble gettin the bottom cover off. use a jack w/ a flat plate and support under the oil pan and move the engine up or over a lil to help gettin the cover off.
