have a 97 integra gsr with all kindsa mods. tuned by bosted_hybrid.

Since car is 97 the computer wants a obd-II. If I Install a obd_II i will never be able to get rid of check engine lights. I cannot think of a way to get by this. My old mileage is not visable so they wont giveme and exemp sticker?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No familiar with emissions there BUT... if the CE light check involves simply LOOKING at the bulb, well, it's nothing a pair of wire cutters won't fix. If they actually plug into the diagnostic port, you're shot.

 

Come down to Philadelphia, any mechanic in the urban city area will pass you.

no im not cutting anything. I have to find a way to legaly pass with my setup or im selling it off. Im tired of this legislative bullshit. do this dont do that blah ******* blah. I pay my taxes leave me alone.... Phew sorry needed to vent. but im not cutting anything is there such a thing as hondata for obd+II ecus??? if so that would solve my problem. other than that i dont know what to do other than buying stock engine and replacing setup once a year. any one else?

How will people in philly pass it, im in york so philly is not that far away? can you meet up with me and take me to the place that passes you?

Where did i ask how to break the law? I specifically stated I cant find a way to do this legally im selling the dam car. Just asking for some help not trying to start some forum war.

well they dont just look at the bulb. Here in PA they have a computer system which hooks into your diagnostic port. So since i have the obd_I there OBD-II system wont read from the ecu. To pass here in PA they have to hook that up and it has to be able to read the ecu. And i can not install a OBD_II because it will throw all kindsa codes.

Ok new question. Is there such a thing as a Tunable OBD_II computer?

 

I heard there is some garage off of queen st in york that passes many hooked up cars. Not toos ure where it is exactly but alot of the guys from stemar motorsports goes to him.

 

Not directed at you. At any rate, I think you're hosed without going to some extreme sort of trickery. Any chance you can go back to stock long enough to pass? If not, you might want to just sell out of state.
