which is best ls, b16, or a gsr
i have a 91 hatch and i would like to know what is best to swap into it. an ls, a b16, or a gsr??? i know that a gsr is a lot of work and that you gotta do a lot of extra work to fit it in but can someone enlighten me with some info. i would just like to hear of some swaps people have done.

ok, well asking whiich swapp is "better" isn't exactly the best way to go about choosing an engine because you won't get an answer "see above". it really all depends on what you want. why are you swapping? do you want speed or is your motor toast? do you like the windeys or do you want to drag? or, do you just want people to think your car is cool (lol, time to whoop out the neons! *vomit*). it also depends how much money you have. do the research, read 2nd gen motor swapping 101 by daven to start off (search google, it's easy to find.) the ls is cheap because you can get an older one and people swapp them out to go itr. they are also domestic so it's easy to verify milagee. you don't get as much horse as you would say a gsr, but how much do you really need? depending on which trim level your hatch is, your probably adding a good 30 to 50 lbs of tourqe with the ls, and plenty horse too. it's more than enough to be fun. b16s are cool, but why put so much money into a car without going a little further and going b18c. there isn't a noticable weight difference (contrary to myth), and you get beef like crazy. the zc is probably the best for the cost, and like the ls it's way fun compared to stock. if all you want to do is go in a straight line, napster a motor from a prelude. lol, go h22 or h23. may as well go fast if your not going to turn anyway.
