i think the Stock honda cranks are always up to it, well for the most part. I would think just new rods and pistons, b&b, and head work and you'll be there. Oh and ecu stuff.

9000, what kind of program do you have? Valve springs would help, ive gone up to 8500 on my d16 and havent had any problems doing so, and thats with everything stock. The redline on my car is 9500, but i dont touch that, considering my mostly stock internals. But revving that high really wont do anything unless you have the power band that needs it, i had a jg 301 cam, and power didnt start until around 5000, so i need to rev higher. but if youre running a stock cam, there would be no more power beyond redline. btw, ive take my engine up to 8500-8700 a lot, almost daily, have had no problems (stock valvesprings), that is until my timing belt snapped and bent 12 valves. But if you really care for your engine dont exceed what its built for. In my experience with SOHC motors, they are tough and can take a hell of a beating, with the excepetion of forced induction.

That is the fun thing.....I don't have a program....yet.....I am trying to figure out what the power will be like and all the other stuff......I drive an HX so I love being able to leave the car in a gear and just rev the hell out of it (i.e. 100 mph in 3rd)

N-E-Way, more revs....reliably....on a D16Y5!!! Goal is a fast as hell HX....with the HX tranny.....still have to drive 120 miles a day.
