Yeah, I vote for the axle too. When my hatch had a torn boot, same symptoms - only under throttle while turning. It also lessened or disappeared after a few turns (although it was still noticable - even after the joint was repacked and the boots replaced).
I've also got $5 on a certain shop incorrectly installing your axles or boots leading to this perdicament. I think I would bitch at them a bit before I went out of pocket for a fix.

Good point, mang. Yeah the axels they installed have a lifetime warrentee and these suckers are only 3 months old. That's pretty disturbing. Dern hybrids...
