Default help needed!!! screeching noise....not sounding too good...pleasssseeee.....

well i have a 2nd gen integ. just recently, it started to make a somewhat screeching sound, especially when im backing up to parallel park. like if i steer the wheel to the right or left, it would make a distinct noise, kinda like a screeching noise. anyone got an idea on how to solve this or even know what the problem can be...?? any help is well appreciated. thanks a lot h-t!!!

Do you have power steering? You said that it only happens when you turn the wheel, correct?

Do you have stock wheels and tires? It if is only when you are turning that means your tires could be rubbing. That would only be a problem is you have bigger wheels and tires then stock.

probably your power-steering belt slipping...if the belt is a little stretched or never had the proper tension to begin with, they slip, especially when you turn the wheel all the way to one side...try tightening the tensioner on the PS belt and let us know how it turns out.
