Prelude piston swapping
Hi, I just wanted to know if it's true, that resleaving the h22a4 block is required if you want to change the pistons. I currently have a turbo setup boosting 7psi. I want to do eagle rods and je pistons but I wanna know if i can get away with not sleaving the block since i'm not looking to go any higher that 9psi. Thanx to those who will respond
Sleeving is a must. There are a few people running forged pistons on unsleeved blocks, but no one seems to be able to confirm their reliability.
If you are only looking to run 9psi, then maybe you could look at saving money on the pistons and rods and spend the money elsewhere?
At 9psi, a good engine management computer and excellent tuning is probably going to be better for you engine.
just a thought...
