Just installed Vortech supercharger on Integra GSR
We will post dyno info up tomorrow or friday. Pulls nicely, smooth power band. I would have to guess 225-240 at the wheels. We have another kit in stock here: http://www.diabloautosports.com/prod...oducts_id=2105
We'll also be making a video at the dyno so you can hear it and see it :D

Nice! Im glad Vortech finally came out with a charger for the GSR. Im anxious to see that video and dyno.
Im still trying to decide which form of F/I I want - turbo, roots charger, or centrifugal charger. hmmm

It will fit the Type R, just need to cut about 4 inches off the end of the intake tube included with the kit. The one we just did had a skunk2 manifold which makes the fit of that motor the same as a type R. The civic si aftercooler will not fit, but they are making an aftercooler upgrade as we speak
hey did you install the aftercooler? - how much boost are you pushing? what header are you using? I need more info - how much for the complete kit? (w/aftercooler)
Vortech does not have an aftercooler yet, but are developing an optional one. The kit boosts 7psi out of the box. This customer has comptech 4-2-1 header, random cat, apexi n1 catback, msd 6btm ignition and field v-tec controller. We haven't dynoed it yet, but expect to this week. Price on the non polished kit is $3149.99 (no aftercooler). We are authorized Vortech Distributors.

What's the advantage of this type of blower as opposed to a roots-type (Jackson Racing)?
How could you get the lag of a turbo? It spins with the engine RPM.
a regular SC (roots) is almost lineal with the engine, because it is geared a lot lower, when your engine is spinning at 8k rpm the SC is spinning maybe at 12k.
with a centrifugal SC the gearing is a lot higher, and it spins at much higher speed.
the plus is that it is more efficient than a roots blower.
I also, have to disagree with anyone that complains about the SC creating a loss as compaired to a turbo, each create a loss. true a turbo can't be quantified as easily as a SC (you are putting a specific load on the engine with a SC) but you are restricting your exhaust, and contrary to what some may believe there is no such thing as free power, the force used to compress the air has to come from somewhere, and with a turbo that somewhere is the exhaust.
anyway, this kit looks like it could be a good alternative to the JRSC, for people that don't want to go with turbo, and don't like the JRSC for whatever reason.
hope you are happy with it... although i am anti vortech for imports, i still wanna see what can be done with it. i'm not really excited for a dyno... i wanna see what your 1/4 mile is like... get a Gtech or something, at least!
coool....im interested in what this supercharger can do....please do take it to the track and show us some times!
Just back from the dyno. 223.8hp and 151.8 torque :D
Feels very strong. Lowered vtec from 4400 to 4000. Mod list: skunk2 cam gears, skunk2 intake manifold, msd 6btm, comptech header, random tech cat, apex ws exhaust, field vtec controller.
Do you have a dyno with all those mods but w/o the s/c? I just want to compare.
I'm also not very big on vortec s/c on small displacement engines. It just gives it even more a peaky feel. I mean the jacksons basically makes the engine like it was a bigger engine... easier everyday driving with decent amounts of power. Turbo always seemed like a better alternative to vortec, b/c you can get more over-all power, and better tuning.
BTW jackson's site says that the gsr does 208hp 153lb/ft torque with just the s/c. Looking at the dynos the jackson's torque jumps at 2k to 125 and clims to the 153peak from there. The dyno is on their site. Congrats on the s/c, i hope to see some 1/4 times soon.
