Cover inside distriutor behind rotor.... is it needed? HELP QUICK!
This is probably a really dumb question, but when doing a tune up and replacing my ditributor rotor i broke the cover that goes behind it (#5 in the picture) and i'm wondering if i need it or what. And if you would think that any auto parts store would acutally carry this part. (its sunday and I can't go to the dealership) any help would be great. Thanks!!!!!

i think i have 5 dizzys' here that ive used.. 2 in cars that are in service... NONE of them have them.. lol

its not really that important, i have 5 distributor that doesnt have one, but although i do have one extra which is from a sohc distributor i dont think it matters though unless somebody wants to correct me not sure

i broke mine trying to change the rotor also, and was never able to get the rotor off
