has anyone seen or heard anything about carbon fiber roofs for dels sols? I searched on google and on HT. i only found some threads from huffster that were like a year old. Also i found this on VIS's site. http://www.visracing.com/catal...=1796

I sent VIS an email yesterday but no reply yet. Ill let you know what they have to say.

I've not heard of a successful fitment yet

they are molded after the transtop equipped version so there may or may not be any problems

on the other IF UCKING HATE VIS AND WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN EVER I HATE THE WAY THEY DON"T HONOR THERE CLAIMS AND SEND OUT THE WRONG STUFF AND THEN EXPECT THE CUSTOMER TO PAY SHIPPING BACK TO THEM AND THEN THEY LIE "ITS IN THE OTHER WHERE HOUSE"

You're right about that. I have two Del Sols. A 97 Transtop Si and a 94 Del Sol Si. When you remove the interior lining on the roof, the Transtop Del Sol is not the same. The Transtop roof lines up differently and will not work properly on a regular Del Sol.

why would they be molded off a transtop roof? that makes no sense. maybe if they were made in japan for the del sols with transtops... hmm

no reply from vis about the roof yet.

yep they really f'd me on a group buy last year and I was stuck giving back the customers money after 4 months because they had sold the hood to nopi even though my order was first they also drop shipped 2 JDM style hoods for US tegs and then requested the recipients to send it back at there own cost, I've seen there hood delam and there body kits are so flimsy and they are shady as ****

they told me once to come out and pick up an order and after sitting in traffice for 2 hours they told me it was at the where house and to come back the next day

I never went back I'll never do business with them again they are shady pieces of donkey doo and I'm certainly glad Versus now has better carbon stuff than them anyway

I don't know why Vis would make the roof using the Transtop mold. However I do know that they had this Bronze Del Sol at the top of this page around before it was sold to someone else.

Ok, i just got an email back from VIS and they said and i quote, "$600 for the targa top." seems like a little much for me. Also the fact that they just said the price and didnt give me any other info makes me a bit sceptical. Anyways i just thought i should share with you HT'er on the CF roofs. I guess they do exist.
