Default Oil filter mod????

i was watching " The Legends of the Type R's " video, a while back. I remember them showing a oil filter with a hose clamp tightened right in the middle of it. I think they said it acts like a baffled oil pan, or something in that nature. Does anyone know why they would put a hose clamp around the oil filter?

I think they said that under racing conditions the oil filter will expand so they put the clamp on.

What about those re-useable magnets that slide over the oil filter to attract metal particles to stay in the filer?

I usually search eBay or Amazon's used DVD sections. DeepdiscountDVD is also good (thanks for the reminder!)

If anyone wants a VHS copy of The Battle at 10,000 rpm I don't want mine anymore....

If I recall correctly the Hot Version VTEC club is the Best Motoring VTEC club DVD/video that is released stateside. I just picked up VTEC Club 2 this weekend here. Yes it is all in Japanese. I will check when I go home today to see if it is titled as Hot Version or Best Motoring. My VTEC Club 1 DVD's cover is nothing like the cover of the US released DVD, but the content appears to be the same, reading the cover of the pic posted above.

They use the hose clamps around the filters just to prevent them from warping due to the heat and oil pressure when racing.
