i drive a 94 del sol si. d16z6 and
its getting close to time to get the new motor. and i need some real input.
its between the
ls vtec---------$4000 installed
gsr-------------$4500 installed
i also found a shop that will do the gsr for 3800 but im not to sure of the quality of that company. i know the other shop does good work.
i can afford both but want to know which would be better. the guy at the shop says he could build a bad *** ls vtec that could put more power down than the gsr. and its cheaper.
i would like to get about 350hp out of the motor when im finaly done with it. it will be turbo charged.
so i need real input here not any bs please.
thanks in advance

GSR, especially if you're not going to do it yourself. If something should go wrong with the Frankenstein (oil line coming off or loose) you're just going to have to fork over more money to get it back and running.

def. go gsr if you are looking for 350 hp. why worry about the setup of the lsvtec when you can have stock reliability B4 you start builing. i just think it would be better in the long run.
or for the same price you can go LS and turbo that and when you have enought experience with Honda engines and knowledge you can slap a VTEC head on
I would suggest diong what I just said because you need to learn a lot before you just jump into something like that
