Default Starter problem help ASAp

i just went out to my car and tried to start it and all i hear is the starter trying to turn but it sounds like a remote controld car while its moving and nothing is happeninng any help would be appreciated

Make sure you battery is charged and check all the connections. Also is the battery posts are dirty clean them off. If its not that then go get you started to be checked at a Autozone or something

yep terminals are clean and brand new i have a system in the car ive gone through many batteries and alternators but usually the battery light comes on and stuff ive never had the battery die like this before when i start the car the lights dim if that helps

Have someone hit the starter with a hammer or something else, this just happen to me even though the starter is brand new.

Look at the engine, look to the left of the valve cover, see the big gray hunk of metal a.k.a the trans, feel in the back for the starter. Its a black component.

2 bolts, 1 nut and a plug. You will need extensions to get to the bolts. Its pretty easy.

so it cranks and wouldnt start, is tat what ur tryin to say?

Have u check for spark?

dash lights dim=battery low/dead

go to autozone n' charg her her up...
while ur at it, get ur alternator checked to see if it is charging ur battery.

If your battery is really low on charge it might sound like this also. Almost like a machine gun.

sounds like your pinion gear isnt engaging with your flywheel the soleniod prolly
isnt working id check connections, but i had a problem like that with my type r where my starter was just spining my ring gear around the flywheel.

if ur gonna service ur own starter, try checking the pole shoes, those wears out easy.
