What is the thing that lights up blue when you turn on your headlights. It is located to the left of the steering column and has a circle and a half circle on it. Thought it might be some kind of indicator that your lights are on, but i don't know why you would need it. 98 prelude.

Sure it's your main beam light to let you know the headlights are on full beam, or at least it is on my lude. If you click the indicator stalk back once it should go off, then your lights are on dipped beam.

No, it's not my highbeams. The light illuminates when I turn on my parking lights and headlights. The thing i'm talking about is flexible and sticks out from the dash beneath the left side of my steering column. But i'm sure it is not a highbeam indicator.

I don't think it is the steering adjust.

Yeah so I just looked at my car where you said, and I don't see any blue lights. Take a pic. Are you the original owner?

I'll take a pic soon as i get my digital camera back. The light i'm talking about is to the left of the steering column. it is not mounted on the dash, but sticks out from the dash and is mad eof some kind of flimsy clear material. (Looks kinda like a tag.) It lights up to a bluish tint when I turn my lights and/or parking lights on. You can't see the blue light produced when it is light outside, but as it gets dark outside the blue light becomes increasingly brighter. originally thought it was some kind of gauge that would show the driver when to use his pilot lights and when to use his headlights, etc.
