You could get a cf hood thats 'SiR style'

Fits usdm but dips up in the middle instead of down.

is the hood hitting where the cams are?

if so put washers on the bottom half of the mount (between the mount and the eng.)this will lower one side of the eng 3 or 4 should work

I put tape on the valve cover, closed hood, and cut out the skeleton where the tape was picked up. Dont overcut, the hood needs support.

Dude,

Do what crxzcracer is saying. Don't cut up your hood.

yes there is no point in cutting up a good hood

i am telling you it would be harder cut up your hood than to put a jack under the eng. pull that mount up and put 3 washers then blot it back up and your done 20min at most.

I took my new hood right out of the box and cut it. you can't even tell if you take your time and have a good small grinding wheel. I'd take a picture of my digi cam wasn't 1/2 way around the world right now..

You know, you could have just emailed them the pictures instead of sending them the entire camera!!

haha.. nah, my whole faimily is in europe right now. i'm stuck here because i have a summer semester.

but seriously.. i think the rib that i cut is the same one you need to cut for b-series. If someone can take a pic of the underside of the hood i can show you where to cut the one rib out cleanly..

NEVER cut call the ribs from under the hood though.. you'll end up with a shitty looking hood because the wind/carwash dryer will actually push it down.
